If you’re really good with Drupal, interested in marketing and the user experience, and motivated by the chance to build an exceptional website/web application, consider this: It’s a new full time position, with very competitive salary and benefits, at Frontline Systems Inc. We’d like to find someone who can work in our home office -- in Incline Village, Nevada on the north shore of Lake Tahoe -- but we’ll consider candidates who want to work remotely on a contract basis.
Frontline Systems is a software products company, widely considered one of the world’s leading sources for optimization, simulation/risk analysis, and other analytics software. The company has more than 5,500 corporate customers and is also an OEM software supplier to Microsoft, Oracle and others. Our website, which receives over 100,000 visits monthly, plays a central role in our marketing, sales and support efforts; the web application that we’re building will do even more. Our management commitment to Drupal is as strong as you’d find in a dedicated Drupal shop.
Responsibilities: Working directly with the company’s V.P. Marketing and President/CEO, you’ll build, maintain and continually enhance a new Website, hosted on Acquia DevCloud, that is based on Drupal Commons (and hence on Drupal 6 currently). This role requires Drupal site admin skills, Drupal theming skills, at least some exposure to Drupal module development, and thoughtful Internet marketing; its major focus is on continually enhancing the user experience to help drive sales and business results.
Specific duties include creating, updating and theming content such as landing pages, overview and product description pages, an Ubercart product catalog, groups with discussions, documents and other features, user accounts and other site elements; tracking site activity and testing page alternatives with Google Analytics and Google Website Optimizer; using analytics tools to monitor overall site operation and performance, and user activity in different groups; updating Drupal modules, and transitioning the site to a Drupal 7 version of Drupal Commons.
Requirements: You should have 2 years or more experience with Drupal, including key modules such as CCK, Views and Panels, and should be well "up the Drupal learning curve." Experience with Drupal Commons is a plus. This position requires Drupal theming experience, strong HTML, CSS, image manipulation, and JavaScript skills, and PHP skills sufficient to work comfortably with Drupal themes. Experience with the Fusion base theme is a plus, and more PHP experience is another plus. You should have essential Drupal site administration skills, experience with SSH, FTP and SVN, and be able to work on the Linux command line, though full Linux "sysadmin" experience is not required.
You should be able to work with a team, but you should be a creative self-starter, able to prioritize, meet commitments and get things done, and keep up with a fast-paced environment.
You should have an active interest in Internet marketing, and exposure to topics such as SEO, PPC, landing page optimization, site analytics and tracking tools, and email marketing -- the more experience and expertise in these areas, the better. This position will offer opportunities to learn and grow in these areas. You should have an active interest in contributing to, and learning from the Drupal community, online and at Drupal conferences and events, since this will be part of the job.
How to Apply: Please send a CV or resume, and samples of work with Drupal (e.g. site links) to hr@solver.com. For more information about the position, please contact dfylstra on Drupal.org.
