Need help with content adaption

Hey,

I've been trying to find a good, intuitive way to make mobile versions of sites (my experimenting so far is documented here). I found a solution for when creating a new site. It's not ideal, but it's workable. It is, however pretty useless when trying to add a mobile version to an existing site, since you pretty much need to redo the entire path mapping.

Basically, I know how to do browser detection and theme switching (with the Mobile Tools module). I can use its integration into the Context module, too (hence the solution I found). But now I want to add a mobile version to an existing site which doesn't use Context. That's a huge stinker, right there, due to the amount of views with display: page being used.

So I was wondering... How do you guys do this? How do you guys make sure that content editors need to add contents just once and it'll appear, properly formed and with the proper info shown (so the limited version for mobile devices) on both desktop and mobile?

I myself am stuck on it. I don't see multisites as an option (due to having to add contents in two places -- unless I'm overlooking something. Plus, add to that that I'll need to figure out how to set that up in a Wamp stack, which isn't as easy as on a real host, either). Any help would be highly appreciated.
