Monthly Pay Range: $4,530 - $5,500 - Pay Grade H87

Nature of Work:
As a member of the Information Technology unit in the Department of Housing and Dining Services, this position builds complex database-driven information collection and delivery systems such as web applications and other information delivery tools for various units within the Department of Housing and Dining Services. This position will be presented with the challenge of building Drupal-based revenue generating web services for the Department of Housing and Dining Services – Conference Services to meet the needs of individual conference programs hosted on the CU Boulder campus. This position uses technologies such as: Drupal, Ubuntu, LEMP stack, bash, PHP, CSS, JS, HTML, SVN, and GIT to accomplish these goals. This position also coordinates data sharing and transfers among other campus units; translates client needs into system requirements and independently constructs Drupal-based solutions, including writing custom modules as needed. In addition, this position builds and supports highly stable web servers such as Linux for the department.

Required education/experience/skills (minimum qualifications):

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a computer related field AND two years of professional experience in web application development, one year of which included experience with Drupal.
Substitution:
Prior work experience within the information technology field (system administration, programming, web development, etc), which provided the same kind, amount and level of knowledge acquired in the required education, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the bachelor’s degree. A master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a computer related field, which included coursework in web-application development may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree and one year of experience general web application development experience. If using education to meet the minimum requirements a transcript copy must be submitted by closing date.
