****Drupal Team Leader- West London- URGENT*******
An exciting position for a Drupal Team Leader to work for one of the UK’s largest digital media and IT companies. The ideal applicant will:
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of websites using Drupal 6 (& 7)
• Use Pressflow and Drupal Multisite
• Install, upgrade, build and commission modules
• Create and maintain Drupal themes from a given design
• Integrate Drupal with existing/new enterprise architecture and other 3rd party software
• Liaise directly with publishers and editors
• Manage a team of 3 Developers and external development suppliers- rising to 6 Developers#
• Managing internal development, plan, cost and line manage.
• Managing outsource partners
This is a critical and demanding technical role that requires the ability to communicate clearly and lead more junior staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and constructing enterprise level websites using Drupal, and will be key in developing new online offerings.
This role is focussed on being able to use and administer Drupal to create and maintain high profile, high traffic websites.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Drupal, PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript and have a strong working knowledge of Internet protocols and common/emerging web standards such as SOAP.
Qualifications and experience:
• Experience managing a team of minimum 3 Developers.
•3 years of commercial Drupal experience and 5+ years experience in developing and supporting public facing websites using content management systems
•Experience of Pressflow a big advantage
•Must have very strong PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript skills
•Must be proficient in Webservices, XML, XSLT and XSD
•PHP Certification an advantage
•Must demonstrate a good level of practical and theoretical knowledge in building and maintaining of high volume content managed websites and applications
•Detailed understanding of software development methodologies and industry best practice / standards as they apply to Drupal
