- Mailchimp: http://drupal.org/project/mailchimp Boris Mann's favourite, user friendly and powerful API service. Current module needs some love - the subscribe is a full page only (no blocks), although it does have a great Drupal user sync feature, and the subscribe on the user edit page is good. The form building and javascript embed version is very good. See http://bootuplabs.com/subscribe for an example.
- VerticalResponse: Administrators can create mailing lists, map user objects to VerticalResponse mailing lists using a view, segment mailing lists, create and launch email campaigns in Drupal.
- http://drupal.org/project/emf Email Marketing Framework supports Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, Interspire E-mail Marketer and Addemar. Sounds like a great candidate to consolidate many of the external mailing lists to one, letting emf handle the common elements.
*http://drupal.org/project/phplist PHPlist is an source email marketing option.
