The Web Team at C4 Tech & Design (http://www.c4tech.com) is accepting applications for an additional web developer/programmer.
The right candidate will be excellent at problem solving, standardization, communication, and database-driven PHP/CMS solutions. We are primarily a PHP shop -- almost all of our internal products use LAMP. However, we often get requests for a variety of languages, so we are also looking for candidates who are self-educators and possess a diverse skill set.
The appropriate candidate will be a well-rounded team player, with plenty of experience working closely with designers and other developers. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are very important. Experience with project management, customer service, and cooperative workplaces is ideal.
This is a full-time position that is ideal for someone who desires a flexible work schedule. Additionally, since we all come to this company from a freelancing background, we expect you to provide your own hardware and software.
Development Experience
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has the ability to work on tasks, activities, and projects with minimum supervision. The right applicant would also follow guidelines set up within the company, but would be willing to bring new knowledge and processes to the table.
Specific qualifications include:
- Demonstrable experience working with a LAMP setup
- Demonstrable experience with Drupal or alternate PHP CMS (such as WordPress or Joomla!)
- Demonstrable experience with SQL Databases
- Ability to create scale-sensitive solutions
- Attention to usability
As a bonus, you have some experience with:
- JavaScript / JQuery / AJAX / dynamic HTML
- Working on the command line
- Mobile app development (iPhone, Android and/or Blackberry)
- Flash / Action Script 3
- Server Management (Linux)
- Python
- ASP.NET
- E-commerce
- DNS records
- Security certificate management
- Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator
