Introduction to Aegir Christian Pearce (pearcec) xforty technlogies (www.xforty.com) The Aegir hosting system is a Drupal hosting system based on the provision and hostmaster projects. Combined these projects provide a frontend (hostmaster) for managing websites and a backend (provision) for managing the server. The hostmaster project makes installing, upgrading, backing up and migrating Drupal sites simple (haha). The provision project is the heavy lifter behind the scenes automating the tasks you direct on the hostmaster. In my presentation, I will cover installation, key concepts, touch upon drush makefiles, discuss a development workflow, provide a demo, and answer all your questions. |

Alcohol is not permitted inside the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (but there are plenty of watering holes nearby to visit before or after the meetup).
