We held our Broward Drupal monthly meetup on Wednesday, May 18th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Participants:
Remote (from furthest to closest):
Seattle - Chris Parsons @chillin411
Boca Raton - Mark Stahlbaum @markeytoe
Coral Springs - Jason Graham @polishyourimage
In Person (Fort Lauderdale, Broward County Florida):
Jay Epstein @jeppy64
Michael Coburn @mfcoburn
Me @hectoriribarne
We continued to have remote users participate in our meetup via Skype and TeamViewer.
Chris Parsons (@chillin411 http://kickball.com) takled about submitting a patch to http://Drupal.org. He walked us through the process of submitting a documentation patch, including using the api.drupal.org, the commands used for submitting the patch and using git. Checkout the audio below.
Jay Epstein (@jeppy64 http://jay-epstein.com/) gave an update on the latest of the Omega 7 theme on Drupal 7, including details. Checkout the audio below.
Our new member (this was his first meeting) Michael Coburn (@mfcoburn http://coburn.org) talked about his new web site for the South Florida Coast Guard Association and the details of how he built it: http://www.thesfcga.com/
In addition to the main topics discussed above, we spent the rest of the meetup answering questions from our new members Michael Coburn and Mark Stahlbaum. There is nothing like new blood to get some interesting Drupal discussions going.
One tentative topic for next month is node access.
