We have an in-process project to replace our corporate site with a Drupal v6 site. We are on an extremely aggressive schedule.
Marketing has a group of people who do web production work – they maintain the content on the site, and they do design work. They know HTML, CSS, some JavaScript, even a little perl, and they have experience with Dreamweaver. They have gone through a week of Drupal training, but the project's schedule puts their work on the critical path. We need a Drupal themer/templating specialist to help them for the next 1.5 to 2 months. This person needs to:
• Work well with my back-end team to determine what is done with theming/templating vs. what is done with modules, blocks, views, …
• Work well with people new to Drupal who are not yet comfortable with theming and templating
• Mentor those people
• Do hands-on theming and templating
• Be detail-oriented – our site needs to look good and work well for people using I.E. (including I.E. 6!), Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
Optimally, this person would be in the Portland OR area. Though much of this work could be done remotely, some on-site time would be beneficial. BTW, our offices are in Beaverton, blocks from a MAX stop.
Note that we have wireframes for much of the site. Also, I don’t know if this has any bearing, but the site will be multilingual and multi-domain.
