Hello,
My name is Jonathon and I run an NYC non-profit. One of our projects is Nature's Lamp, a Christian/Bible-related website and collection of resources that provides people with tools to learn about God by spending time in Nature.
We are looking for a Drupal Designer/Programmer to re-focus our site www.NaturesLamp.org. It is built and contains a lot of content however we need help with the following:
-connecting the content with itself (it's a bit scattered throughout the site)
-cleaning up/clarifying the menus and layout
-focusing the user on the content in a way that supports our mission
In addition:
-Updating our site and cleaning up our backend so it's easier for a future volunteer to use and curate the project
-Making sure the site is secure and running effectively
-Helping us with SEO if possible, or at least paving the way a bit
We envision the updated site to primarily feature three things:
-Nature Bible Database (it's a big cross-referenced database we built through Views, which contains every Nature-related passage in the Bible)
-A collection of activities (with new ones added each week) for people to have fun learning about what God teaches through nature
-A collection of essays on God and Nature
As I mentioned the content is up there, the site is made, it just needs to be better presented and cleaned up. We also imagine a revamped home page that is more dynamic and has those three elements readily accessible.
Anyway, as this is a non-profit and our budget isn't huge, hopefully someone might be interested in the project itself, however it's not a requirement, just a good eye for clarity and knowledge of Drupal.
We are offering $500.
Please let us know if you would be interested. You can email me at JMTRoberts A T Gmail for more info.
We are based in the city and are happy to meet you to talk in person as well.
Thank you very much,
Jonathon
