I wanted to post a quick first "event" for the Omega Framework group based on the recent work we've been doing on the 3.x version.
The dev version (available on project page and GitHub) is working VERY well on clean installs, and is just about ready to package up as an initial alpha version.
This event is nothing really to actually attend, but simply marking that by tomorrow evening, I plan to push the first tagged release of the 3.x version.
There will NOT be any heavy documentation on it, and it is NOT yet recommended to update from 2.x for current installs, but it IS recommended to start new projects on 3.x.
As I update a couple of sites (already have finished one locally) I'll be noting all the "gotchas" in my upgrade processes, and documenting those for users that DO choose to upgrade from 2.x in the future. The steps are actually quite simple, but will need an outline to avoid any big issues.
Look for the first official release of Omega 3.x tomorrow night!
Also, Delta 3.x and Omega Tools 3.x are ready to go already!!
