Web Analyst, Information Architect and Usability Expert | Omni Creative Staffing

Our Client, an established web developer, is seeking to hire a highly experienced Web Analyst to be a part of a talented two-person Information Architecture / Usability team.

The Senior Web Analyst position is a full time position.. This person consults on complex Information Architecture, usability, and Web strategy as part of project teams that work on multiple, high visibility web sites, user interfaces, interactive projects such as games and CD-Roms, etc. 

The Senior Web Analyst’s job consists of day-to-day problem-solving, research, testing and focus groups, and creation of Information Architecture and Testing/Focus Group deliverables and documentation. This position is part of a two-person department and reports to the Director of Operations. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participation in new business meetings, attending conferences or presentations as a company representative, research on industry Information Architecture and usability best practices and tools, coordinating Information Architecture resource planning, finessing and improving policies and process around Information Architecture and usability in coordination with management. The job may involve travel to attend client meetings, new business presentations or conferences as a company representative.

Required experience and skills:
At least four years of professional development information architecture and usability experience (specifically Web experience).
Have worked on large scale custom application and/or CMS (Content Management Systems) projects.
Familiarity with user experience consulting deliverables (strategy plans, site maps, wireframes, content analysis documents, focus group planning, prototypes, etc.).
Experience with usability testing experience is also required. Specifically, familiarity with planning and running focus groups, card sorting, surveys, and heuristic usability analysis and testing.
A broad understanding of the Web and be knowledgeable about and be able to discuss current issues surrounding CMS, community sites, eCommerce, Web 2.0, and Internet marketing.
A best practices orientation and approach to solving complex Information Architecture and usability issues for large web sites and projects.
A working understanding of HTML and conventional Web publishing frameworks.
Knowledge of evolving interface standards (AJAX, Javascript, Search), Visio, and specific CMS systems.
Marketing or design (specifically Web) background.
Superb organizational, time management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task, working on several projects or tasks at once.
Ability to work on tight deadlines with tight turnarounds a requirement.
Must be able to 'think on one's feet' and come up with creative and appropriate solutions.
Must work well in teams with other highly qualified Web professionals in a relaxed, culturally diverse environment.
Must be able to liaise directly with clients, comfortably leading Information Architecture and usability and strategy discussions.

Experience working with government clients is a plus. Experience working on large-scale, complex sites in a variety of industries is ideal.
