We are looking for a Drupal programmer to join our team in developing the Creating Your Community website. The website using Drupal and Contentdm will be the social networking website for sharing Colorado history. We can offer a flexible schedule of 20, 30 or 40 hours a week plus a full benefits package. Duties and Responsibilities: Assists with the Institute of Museum and Library Services grant project “Creating Your Community.” Performs full performance-level professional systems analysis and programming work designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software application programs, operating systems, and databases. Works closely with staff to develop, maintain and support the “Creating Your Community” website.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of Drupal and ability to create Drupal modules. Knowledge of information technology and data processing sufficient to be able to review program specifications, design programs, and write or modify code. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for designing, developing, and testing software in a given environment. Knowledge of information technology systems analysis, including systems design, sufficient to be able to maintain current systems and implement new systems. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for analyzing and developing software test and evaluation procedures. Knowledge of computer languages and their applications to enable a system to perform specific functions. Knowledge of database function and design sufficient to be able to implement network databases. Knowledge of supervisory theories and methods sufficient to be able to perform a variety of lead work functions. Ability to create Drupal modules. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work with a diverse group of people. Ability to thrive working in an environment with people from all backgrounds and age groups. Ability to demonstrate positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and a sense of humor in working with customers, coworkers and community. Ability to creatively problem-solve, negotiate and handle stressful situations in a positive manner. Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Experience: Three years of professional experience in full life cycle development of business applications. Strong experience with Drupal and XML. Experience working with Red Hat, Linux or comparable operating system. Experience working with PHP, MySQL, Oracle or Microsoft SQL database development as well as Web Services.

Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a directly related field. An equivalent combination of appropriate related education and/or experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Special Requirements: A background check must be passed after the offer to hire has been made.
