Interactive division within a global public relations firm seeks a motivated Information Architect (5+ years experience) in New York City to create a strategic, creative and innovative solution for a content rich web initiative. The Information Architect will devise the fusion of content strategy, key client goals, and user needs through the execution of various project deliverables including Site Map and Wireframes. The right candidate will be thorough and detail-oriented, have Drupal experience, and be comfortable leading a junior IA in the execution of actionable wireframes.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and maintain business requirements
- Drive the optimum implementation of functionality
- Develop a content display strategy translates to a flexible template system
- Conduct task analyses to define user needs
- Develop high-level information flows and navigation systems
- Develop detailed page wireframes with functional annotations
- Work with technology teams to determine technology and implementation strategies
- Work with visual designers to ensure the look and feel of given initiatives meets intended user interaction
Requirements:
- More than 5 years of Web-application information architecture experience, including sites designed for Drupal
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing and by graphic design with staff and clients, individually and in groups
- Working knowledge of various Web-related technologies (e.g., HTML, XML, JavaScript)
- Proficient in OmniGraffle or other related software
- Deadline- and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure and to adapt to conflict situations
