The Idea of this Wiki Page is to come up with a process that can be used to take an come up with an initial procedure that will allow people with idea's to bring document a process to develop an idea into a complete project proposal, to code that proposal, test and implement it onto Drupal.org or its sub-sites. The process in which we accomplish tasks is away to ensure a quality of service and that focus's on results. Once we develop an initial process we will allow our users and the Drupal staff to go through the process and to give us feedback. The team can then take this feedback, make improvements to the process to improve quality. By utilizing common and accepted quality improvement practices such as documenting our processes we can insure a greater success rate, less frustration and better results. Currently I know of no written policy nor procedure for taking our ideas and moving them onto fruition. Production is not our goal, quality does not end, but continues to evolve.
Process (EARLY IDEA):
1) Document Ideas (Generate Work flow, Data flow Diagram, Templates, etc)
2) Feedback (Fail: Repeat Document and Feedback process until Approval (Who approves these things?))
4) Development and Implementation on test site.
5) Test Performance and Practice Fees ability.
6) Feedback (Fail: Return to Development or Documentation)
7) Implement
8) Monitor
9) Success, Improve (step 1), or Failure (Abandon - Roll back to old system).
Note: This needs a great deal more details. Do we have any current procedure.
