Topics

If you'd like to present on a topic, give a lightning talk or just ask questions of the group, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Drupal Internals: Drupal's settings.php file

Christefano of Exaltation of Larks will step through Drupal's settings.php file and explain what each setting, variable and array are and what they do, from how base_url and cookie_domain affect URLs and sessions to how db_url and db_prefix affect things like Drupal multisite.

As a bonus, the settings.php file from Pressflow, the high performance version of Drupal 6, will also be covered.

There's a module for that

Everybody has a favorite module or two and we'll have a round table discussion where everyone will have a chance to share modules they like, they've written or have used to get out of a sticky situation. It's okay if you don't have any favorite modules -- if you want to, you're welcome to ask the group if a module exists that might help with a use case or problem that you're working on.

At the end of the meetup, the list of modules and the links to download them will be posted in the comments below for the benefit of the larger community.

Drupal After Dark

After the meetup, a few of us will be going out for food and drinks at Roy's on 7 West Carillo St. Their phone number is 805-966-5636.
